The Exeter Dental Centre has passed its CQC inspection! The in-depth, six-hour inspection, took place last Wednesday and the practice was informed that it had passed on the day.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is a newly-formed regulatory body for healthcare and dentistry in the UK, it is responsible for making sure all dental practices maintain the highest standards of care, for both their staff and patients.
Our inspection was unannounced and, as a new government initiative, was the first for The Exeter Dental Centre. We work hard, as a team, to maintain the extremely high standards we set ourselves and it is great to have this recognised by the inspector.
I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to my team, they have all worked so hard over the last two years to get the dental centre to where it is today.
For me, last Wednesday was a milestone, a chance to take stock and reflect on how far we have come.
The results of the inspection will be posted on the CQC website next week and we will post a link on our website when it is live.
