Recently Exeter University was announced as one of the top 10 institutions in the country by The Complete University Guide.
This is the second year in a row that the city’s university has been awarded the number 10 slot in the online guide, to join Cambridge, Oxford and UCL at the top of the national table. The 2015 edition also ranks Exeter as the second best university in the South West, beaten only by the University of Bath.
Here at The Exeter Dental Centre we love being so close to the fantastic University in Exeter. It feels like there is a real buzz about the university and that transmits to the city.
For us, with our city centre location and expertise, it serves as a source of staff and students as patients. For many students, a distance from home who may need dental treatment we are proud to be able to help them, seven days a week. Some are still registered with their parents’ Denplan dentist at home and come and see us as a major supplier of Denplan care in Exeter during term time. We also treat the university’s growing international students, particularly the Saudi Arabian students on the Aviva insurance scheme. We have even sent radiographs to a patient’s own dentist in Japan! The wonders of modern technology and modern healthcare meaning a patients’ treatment plans can be a joint affair.
Aside from treating students and staff, we like to support the university in other ways too. We’ve attended lectures at the Innovation Centre on local business networking and business funding so we really appreciate Exeter Universityt’s top 10 spot here at The Exeter Dental Centre.
